Everyone should read.

A friend of mine has convinced me to delete my facebook, myspace, and twitter. I don’t think he was trying to get me to, but he said some encouraging words, that were also insightful that helped me out a bit to figure out that I can spend my days doing something better than sitting on my butt checking my social networking sites. I don’t spend an incredible amount of time doing that, but it adds up. I will be deleting everything, except my blog by next week. So please send me your email addresses and phone numbers if you want to keep in contact. If you are interested in reading my blogs my url is http://thenameisjordan.blogspot.com/.

Thanks!

What a night...

Yesterday I went to a Death Cab for Cutie concert. It was a great concert, and they played amazing, it rained, there was a rainbow, all around good night. While on the way down to the concert I missed out on a special event, and I'm sad that I missed it, but I got an update and a cute picture of it. Katelynn, Happy Birthday. Stephanie, sorry I had to leave early...
The reason for writing this blog is to elaborate on one of the songs that they played. I didn't know the song very well, but after hearing it live I fell in love with it. They did an excellent job on it, and the best part was that it was one of the encore songs. The song was What Sarah Said. I really listened to the lyrics, and this part stood out to me...
"And then the nurse comes round and everyone will lift their heads
But I'm thinking of what Sarah said that "Love is watching someone die"
So who's going to watch you die?.."

I don't know why these are stuck with me... Maybe it's because I want to know who will watch me die, and who I will watch die. I want the time to come when I finally meet the person I will spend the rest of my life with. In the car on the way down to Berkeley Sean Gale said something along the lines of not rushing trying to find that person, or thinking that someone is that someone you will spend the rest of your life with, and then everything changes. But I want to meet that person now, I want to know that I will have someone to spend the rest of my life with. I hope this is something everyone struggles with...

Here are some pictures of the nigh
t, they aren't that good, but they'll do.

What an amazing weekend!

It’s been such an amazing, and eventful week/weekend. On Thursday I skipped school, slept in, and went to lunch than Joe and I hung out at Rachel’s house for too long. Than work up the next morning to head to San Francisco to go prom dress shopping. We got a little bored in the car so he drew me a picture, and than I drew him one

Joe down loaded an app on my phone an
d it was a paint thing, and he redid my picture…

Than today while painting I redid my redone picture with real paint. I think I like the looks of this one the most

Joe was a wonderful friend and bore 5 hours of walking pointlessly around the Westfield mall to look in 1 store. Then we moseyed over to a place for lunch. We had grilled cheese and tomato soup. Than continued on looking for a dress. I finally found on at Nordstrom’s that I fell in love with, and ended up getting it. Than we continued out journey to Sacramento to hang out until the Disciples Church had their family fun day. What a blast that was. I had an incredible time, and I’m super pleased to hear what is going on with the new church.

These are some of the little rugrats that I get to play with and see God’s loving shining through them. They are truly a blessing...

Easter Sunday had to have been the best day of the week. I got baptized and I’m excited that I made the choice to show everyone that I want God to be my everything. He is amazing…

Life, life, life!

Hey everyone,
I hope everyone is doing great. I'm doing wonderful. The school year is just about over, summer will begin and I will start a brand new chapter of my life. But back to the last couple of weeks of school... I have Spring break for the college this coming week, Spring break for the high school the following week, and then another what? 4 weeks? Maybe a little more until I graduate. I'm keeping busy though. I cant wait for next week when I can come home after school and not have to go to class that night. It will be glorious! Prom is coming up, I'm pretty excited for what's almost planned for the night, only one thing is holding me back... a date. Oh well though. I'm going to Oakland in a couple of weeks to visit a friend, and I get to see some children that I haven't seen since summer. I miss Tiara.

Ok well I have to finish typing up this scholarship autobiography, by the way, do you know how hard it is to write about yourself? It's very difficult. Hope everyone is doing good. Later!

Failed

I officially failed a test for the first time. I took a chemistry exam on Wednesday in my college chem class, I knew right as I walked out of the classroom that night I had failed that test. Guess what? I was totally right. In someway I'm glad this happened to me, now I know that I never want to fail a test again. Also, it's giving me the motivation to really study. Throughout high school I never really needed to study for tests, so I never got the proper learning skills on how to do so. I will now start reading my book, every chapter. My chemistry book will be my life, I will have it with me in most of my classes, and have my head in the book. I'm a complete nerd. I'm cool with that.

Excitement!

Wow, this week has been absolutely awesome, yes I know it's only Tuesday, but still. Classes have been ok, tonights class was canceled so I'm just laying around in my pj's for the night, sound good? The weekend was great.

I went snowboarding and finally got up the courage to go over jumps, that's exciting. I actually got air, I was overwhelmed with joy. I am officially a jinx though, last Thursday, Aaron broke his leg while snowboarding, and on Saturday Nick hurt his arm pretty badly. So if you don't want to get hurt, don't go snowboarding with me :-)

I got my acceptance letter to San Diego State, and am hopfully going there next semester. Lets hope that scholarships come in for me, it would be awesome... My free days are devoted to filling out scholarship applications, any little bit can help. I hope everyone is doing well!

Looking foward...

Rain, something I absolutely love. It brings way too much joy to my life. Roads get flooded, pot holes form in the ground, what’s not to love about the rain? Yes, the floods and pot holes are something I love about the rain, I know it’s weird. I can think of a thousand other things that I love about the rain. Besides the fact that it’s raining, I had a perfect day, nothing went wrong, I didn’t have any awkward encounters, I didn’t have anything major to do. Ah, so wonderful. It seems that the days in the week when you have something to look forward to, man, I can’t wait till Thursday, and also this weekend. It’s going to be great. Hope everyone had a good day. Later!
